‘Awkwardness’ Painting Series

This series serves as a kind of diary that depicts awkward moments that I have directly encountered or observed in my life. These works allow me to look back at the moments that I would usually forget due to the avoidance behaviors. Although the series has been more of a personal take, each image is aimed to bring the audience together with the question as to whether they would also feel awkward in the depicted moment, and raise a discussion as to how differences in cultures, gender, and disciplines while growing up influence those answers.
